Enjoy total privacy and escape the noise (excepting the sheep in the field next door) in Cwm Pelved's unique setting on a hillside accessed by its own private drive. Originally the owner's principal residence, Cwm Pelved overlooks the Cabalva Estate and the river Wye as it winds through the idyllic Welsh Marches landscape.
The six bedroom house, which comprises three interconnected buildings, has a fascinating history dating back to the 15th Century. Just off Offa's Dyke, it is mentioned in Kilvert's famous diaries. Retaining a wealth of historic features, it has been meticulously restored with every modern luxury and now provides an extraordinary setting for a truly memorable holiday.
There's masses of space to relax and unwind. Choose between the large open plan kitchen with sofas and wood burning stove, the traditional living area with oak beams and piano, the big snug room with enormous working fireplace or the large conservatory with fabulous views down the valley. Bedrooms are at either end of the house making it ideal for two or more families to spend time together while having their own space.
There's a wide range of local activities for you to enjoy including hill walking (Offa's Dyke is a stone's throw away), cycling, riding, canoeing and of course exploring the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye (just 3 miles away). Fishing is available on the River Wye by prior arrangement.
